ABOUT The Author

Chris Alan Jordan is an investigative journalist and author living in Overland Park, Kansas. Before becoming a full-time writer, he spent seven years teaching at a Florida charter school, eight years operating an outlet store in Kansas, and twelve years running a decorative concrete business.

His connection to technology stretches back to 1981, when he saved through the summer to buy a TRS-80 Color Computer connected to a twelve-inch black-and-white television. Years later, while teaching at an underfunded charter school, he repaired donated computers, created the school’s first computer lab, and taught students from pre-K through eighth grade how to use and build computers.

In 2010, Chris was struck by a drunk driver while riding his motorcycle. The crash caused severe ankle, back, and skull injuries and left him permanently disabled. Despite spending approximately eighty percent of his days in bed, he completed Humanity at the Threshold and collaborated with sixteen AI systems from six companies during its development and editing.

This is his first book.
